Reading
We have just finished
our second David Walliams book this term. First we read Gangsta Granny and this
week we finished Demon Dentist. All the David Walliams books are missing from
the bookshelf because we are enjoying reading them so much!
Our class has also
been working very hard to improve our reading comprehension skills through our
use of Literacy Pro. Our current scores are listed below.

Writing
Over the next couple
of weeks, we are learning about various genres of Poetry! We started with
acrostic poems and will be writing cinquain and haiku poems as well.
Maths
In Maths this term we
have been learning about lots of different concepts. We have focused on
improving our mental maths and problem solving skills every day. We have also
begun a new warm up game called ‘Hit The Target’. We are loving this new game
in our classroom!
HASS – WA Week
In HASS we recently
completed research tasks about various WA landmarks. We learnt so much about
all the wonderful places there are to visit in WA.
Science
We conducted a
frictional force investigation last week.
Design &
Technology
On Wednesday of Week
9 we created our lunchboxes and parachutes that we have been designing for the
