Term 3 Update

We’ve had a very busy start to Term 3! There are so many exciting events that have happened already and we are looking forward to many more.

Some of these events include: NAIDOC Week Incursion, Australian Maths Competition, Spring Flowerpot Competition, Primary School Principal’s Day, Spelling Bee for the year 3’s, Cross Country, Faction Carnival, Book Week, Poetry Recital, Science Week and Wattle Day!

NAIDOC Week Incursion

In Week 2 we attended the NAIDOC incursion hosted by Harley from the Water Corporation. We participated in a variety of activities that were about water in indigenous communities. Below are some photos of the day!

Australian Maths Competition

Congratulations to all the students who were a part of this competition. We look forward to seeing the results very soon!

Spelling Bee – Week 5 and 6

In Weeks 5 and 6 the year 3 spelling bee will be held. We have Adelaide, Connor, Angela, Kaylae, Ashvanth and Karish competing from our class and we wish them all the best!

Poetry Recital – Week 5

In Week 5, Room 25 will be having a poetry recital. All students are asked to remember and recite a short poem in front of the class. A roster will be out next week to tell students which day they will be performing.

Science

In Science this term we are focusing on Biological Science which includes living and non-living things. We will continue to explore various animal life cycles and how these can be affected by environmental factors. Below are some photos of our butterfly life cycles.
